OKDesign shop Terms of Service

Last updated: 16.09.2026

1. About us

This website, okdesign.com.au, is operated by [INSERT LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], trading as OKdesign (“we”, “us” or “our”).

These Terms apply to purchases made through our website and your use of the website. Please read them together with our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.

We sell and deliver our products within Australia only.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify.

2. Australian Consumer Law

Our products and services come with consumer guarantees and other rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in these Terms or our other policies excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and your non-excludable rights under Australian Consumer Law, those rights prevail.

3. Placing an order

Please provide accurate and complete contact details, delivery information and personalisation instructions when placing your order.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian authorised to make the purchase.

After checkout, we will send an order confirmation acknowledging receipt of your order. If we identify a problem that prevents us from fulfilling it, we will contact you promptly.

We may decline or cancel an order for a reasonable reason, including unavailable materials, an address outside our delivery area, a payment failure, reasonably suspected fraud or a request that infringes another person’s rights.

If we cancel an order without supplying the product, we will refund the amount paid for that product and any associated delivery charges for the cancelled portion of the order.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD). Any applicable GST is included in the displayed price.

Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Payment must be received before production begins unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

We may change product prices from time to time. Price changes do not apply to orders already placed.

If we discover a pricing error affecting your order, we will contact you to explain the error and seek your agreement to proceed at the corrected price. If you do not agree and we cannot fulfil the order at the original price, we will cancel the affected item and refund the amount paid for it, including any associated delivery charges.

5. Product descriptions and appearance

We aim to describe and display our products accurately, including their materials, dimensions, colours and finishes.

Screen settings, lighting and the characteristics of different materials may affect how colours appear. Handmade products and natural materials may also have minor variations.

These variations do not remove your right to receive products that match their description and meet the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.

Accessories, stands, flowers and other styling items shown in photographs are included only where the product description expressly states that they are included.

6. Personalisation and design proofs

Please check all personalisation details carefully, including names, spelling, dates, wording and seating arrangements.

Where a design proof is included with your order, we will provide it for your review before production. Please check the full proof and tell us about any required corrections before approving it.

Approval confirms that you have reviewed and accepted the wording and layout shown in the proof. Production may begin after we receive your approval.

If an error was included in the information you supplied and remained in the proof you approved, correcting or replacing the item may involve an additional charge. We will explain any proposed charge and obtain your agreement before carrying out additional work.

If we produce an item that does not match the approved proof, please contact us so we can assess and resolve the issue.

Proof approval does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

7. Production times and event dates

Production times are stated on the relevant product page or communicated to you before production.

Where your order requires personalisation details or proof approval, production time is measured from the point specified in the product information or our written agreement.

Delays in receiving required information or approval may affect the production and dispatch schedule. We will let you know if this affects an agreed timeframe.

Production time and delivery time are separate. Please allow time for both when ordering for an event.

If you need your order by a particular date, please contact us before purchasing so we can confirm whether we can meet your requirements. Providing an event date alone does not mean we have agreed to delivery by that date.

Where we expressly agree to meet a particular deadline, that agreement forms part of your order. Nothing in this section limits your rights if we fail to meet an agreed requirement or our obligations under Australian Consumer Law.

8. Changes and cancellations

Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to change or cancel an order.

Whether a change can be made depends on the stage of design and production. Changes may affect the price and timing of your order. We will explain any additional charges or timing changes and obtain your agreement before proceeding.

For a change-of-mind cancellation of a personalised order, we will consider the work already completed and any materials or services reasonably committed specifically to your order.

Any proposed cancellation charge will reflect reasonable costs actually incurred because of your order, taking account of costs saved and materials that can be reused. It will not exceed the order amount. We will explain the calculation and refund any remaining balance.

Once an item has been personalised or produced, a change-of-mind cancellation may no longer be available.

This section does not apply to cancellations or other remedies to which you are entitled under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Delivery

We deliver to Australian addresses within the delivery areas described in our Shipping Policy.

Please check your delivery address before submitting your order. If you identify an error, contact us promptly. We may not be able to change the address after dispatch.

If redelivery is needed because you supplied an incorrect or incomplete address, we may ask you to pay reasonable additional delivery costs. We will explain these costs before arranging redelivery.

Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control. If your order is delayed, lost or damaged in transit, please contact us so we can investigate and assist.

Using a delivery provider does not remove our obligations to you under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Returns, faults and refunds

Please refer to our Refund Policy for information about requesting a return or reporting an issue.

We do not accept change-of-mind returns for personalised or made-to-order products. This does not affect your rights where a product is faulty, does not match its description or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

For a major failure with a product, you are entitled to choose a refund or replacement under Australian Consumer Law. Other remedies, including compensation, may also be available.

For a minor problem, we may provide a free repair within a reasonable time. If the problem cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to another remedy under Australian Consumer Law.

Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering a problem and provide your order details, a description of the issue and, where practical, photographs to help us assess it.

Please contact us before returning an item so we can provide appropriate instructions. If an item is confirmed to be faulty, we will reimburse reasonable return postage costs. Where required, we will arrange collection at our expense.

Refunds will be made to the original payment method unless we agree otherwise with you.

11. Materials you provide

You must have permission or another lawful basis to provide any photographs, artwork, logos, wording or personal information submitted for your order.

You retain any ownership rights you hold in those materials. You give us permission to use and reproduce them as reasonably needed to design, produce and deliver your order.

We may decline to reproduce material that we reasonably believe is unlawful or infringes another person’s rights. If this affects an order you have paid for, we will contact you to discuss an alternative or an appropriate refund.

Personalisation details, guest lists, photographs and artwork are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We will obtain your permission before using your personalisation materials, or identifiable photographs of your finished order, for marketing or public display.

12. Our designs and website content

Unless otherwise stated, the website content, product designs, graphics and photographs are owned by or licensed to OKdesign.

You may browse the website and use purchased products for their intended purpose. Purchasing a product does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce our designs for resale.

Any additional rights to use digital artwork or design files must be set out in the relevant product description or agreed with us in writing.

This section does not restrict uses permitted by law.

13. Website use and third-party links

You must not misuse the website, interfere with its security, introduce malicious software or use it for unlawful purposes.

We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or technical reasons.

The website may contain links to third-party websites. Those websites operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Linking to them does not necessarily mean that we endorse their content.

Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that we have under applicable law.

14. Liability

We are responsible for fulfilling our obligations under these Terms and applicable law.

You remain entitled to any remedies and compensation available under Australian Consumer Law, including for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage where the law provides for it.

Neither party is responsible to the other to the extent that a loss is caused by the other party’s unlawful conduct, negligence or breach of these Terms.

Both parties should take reasonable steps to minimise loss arising from a problem with an order.

15. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information, including information supplied for personalised orders.

You can read it at:
https://okdesign.com.au/policies/privacy-policy

16. Questions and complaints

If you have a question or complaint about an order, please contact us using the details below.

Please include your order number and a description of the issue so we can investigate and work with you towards a resolution.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from contacting a consumer protection agency or pursuing any remedy available under Australian law.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised date.

Updated Terms apply to orders placed after publication. Changes will not retrospectively alter an existing order unless agreed with you or required by law.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Australia.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protections or rights you have to bring a claim in a court or tribunal with jurisdiction.

If a provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
